Wednesday wouldn’t be Wednesday without some class of a Sound System Podcast recording and for the second week running it’s Mickey back behind the mic.

Sound System Podcast #51

So some of the gremlins are gone, there’s a change in the hosting lineup and we’ve got a One Take Sessions special. Mickey rejoins the podcast and will be taking to the mic for the next few weeks as well as Ross ties up exams and the likes. A happy birthday too to Mr. Costigan who gets to celebrate his birthday with at least a deserving night off!

Yes, the Sound System Podcast returns for the 51st show in the series and we’re looking back at the One Take Sessions from last Thursday night which featured Cian O’Sullivan, Rob O’Connor, Rich Wyman and Bright Light Fiasco.

Sound System Podcast #50

Can I issue a minor gremlin alert for this show? Thanks in no small part to my rushing around on a Wednesday night, losing a day in the week and not actually realising it was Wednesday, while recording in a secret location that used to be Studio A but is making way (by renovation) for a photo studio?

Outside of that, we’ve landed at Podcast #50. Having started back in October 2006 we’ve reached the 50th Sound System Podcast and you’ve got the pleasure of hearing Ross once more, who seems to be out of his thesis cage and back on the airwaves.

We’re back once again with the Sound System Podcast - or at least I’m back once again anyway. For the second time in as many weeks I’m flying solo, Ross taking some time out from podcast duties to wrap up his final year thesis (the end is in sight dude!).

Anyway, with that you’re getting a slightly shorter podcast than the norm, similar to last week. It can be tricky talking to yourself at times! But you’ve still got all the usual bits, the latest gig news from around Kilkenny and acts featured on the podcast previously; news on the One Take Sessions for next week and plenty more besides, all bundled into 30 minutes of joy.

The Sound System Podcast returns once again for show #48 only this week I’m all alone! No Ross or anyone else so we’re lacking on some of the usual things like celebrity deaths and great random banter with an evil twist of comedy.

I promise that normal transmission will resume next week but times are busy in the KKM crew’s neck of the woods, you know?
