Sound System Podcast #45

Well well well. We’re back for number 45 with a One Take Sessions special. Not even one hint of the catchphrase tonight… “four acts four tracks” so thought I’d mention it in the blog post!

We are indeed back for another week’s show and we’ve got live music from each of Stace Gill, Jill Deering, Kevin McNamara and the lads from Jester, all of who were guests at the One Take Sessions in Cleere’s Theatre last Thursday, March 6th.

Sound System Podcast #44

We’re back to regular transmission this week, Mickey and Daw having served their time once more it’s time for myself and Ross to get back to business… and we’re back with a bang.

Another week, another podcast from KilkennyMusic.com. No Ross this week, no Daw, so we welcome Mickey Boo back behind the mic for some insight into the developing world of gangster rap amongst other things.

Sound System Podcast #42

We’re past the half way mark in February and into our third (?) show of the month. No Ross this week, my media-whoring-cohort is away for this and the next show so we’ve got Daw in studio for a chat over the duration of the podcast.

When the two of us get together for a podcast recording it’s certainly a little more laid break so break out the cups of tea and put your feet up for some chat about the One Take Sessions, recent gigs in Kilkenny, working with managers - or not working with managers as well as updates on studio happenings with Chemical Addition, Atrax Mantis and Rarely Seen Above Ground and plenty more to boot in close to the usual 45 minutes..

We’re back again… only this time it’s our “love cast”.

We’re back once again with the Sound System Podcast and we’ve hit yet another round number.

We’re also on a mission to get to show #85 by the end of the year, how successful that is remains to be seen but we’re optimistic all the same.

Ross returns! Den den dennnnnnnnn…..

And so does the Sound System Podcast for a very random show for number 38.

There’s all kinds of talk, from the recent news of Heath Ledger’s untimely demise to current projects, becoming media whores in 2008, local band news, gigs in Kilkenny, Chemical Addiction, the insanity of some religious groups in America, turning Google into a ninja, breast cancer awareness, the Irish Blog Awards and loads more.

Sound System Podcast #37

So we finally arrive back with the first podcast of 2008, just over a month since our last one!

So much has happened in between and, in all honesty, another podcast had been recorded as a Christmas special with an intended 2-week podbreak to follow but we scrapped the original show 37 due to political controversy and as a result wound up with a sizeable podbreak, longer than expected.

But, we’re back and show 37 - special and all as it is to Mr. Costigan - but Ross isn’t on the show at all!

It’s myself and Daw on the mics in what is a very chilled out Sound System Podcast. In fairness, it’s also one of the latest we’ve recorded, starting the ball rolling around midnight before the hard drive started to play tricks on Pro Tools. Damn hard drives.
